Abstract

This observation aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the snowball throwing type of cooperative learning approach in increasing students’ understanding of the subject Akidah Akhlak in school, especially in material about belief in the Holy Books of Allah Swt. as one of the pillars of faith that must be believed by every Muslim. This article explains the meaning of believing in the Holy Books of Allah, the evidence and arguments that underlie its truth, and the types of Holy Books, namely Taurat, Zabur, Injil, and Al-Qur’an. The approach used in this paper is library and journal research with collecting data using qualitative descriptive analysis. The research results showed that there is a significant difference between students who used the snowball throwing method and the conventional method. Students who were taught using the snowball throwing method can understand the material and obtain better results, as well as giving a positive response to this method. This shows that the snowball throwing learning method is considered effective in increasing students’ absorption and interest in learning.
