Abstract
This research discussesa bout strategies do Arabic teachers use in the learning process to increase students' interest in learning Arabic in class VIII MTs Ihyaul Ulum. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Research location at MTs Ihyaul Ulum. The data sources are Arabic language teachers and class VIII students at MTs Ihyaul Ulum. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. Data processing and analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. Data validity testing was carried out using triangulation. The results of this research show that the strategies used by Arabic teachers in increasing the learning interest of class VIII MTs Ihyaul Ulum students in learning Arabic are by providing motivation, presenting material optimally, using varied learning methods, using different learning media. interesting, and carry out learning evaluations. The solution is to present the material optimally by using sentences that are easy to understand, pairing students who have low absorption capacity with students who have high absorption capacity, using varied learning methods and using interesting learning media.
