Abstract

Education has a very important role in shaping the character and attitude of students, especially in facing the diversity that exists in society. Multicultural education is an approach that emphasizes recognition, respect, and acceptance of cultural, religious, and ethnic differences in social life. This study aims to analyze the integration of multicultural values in learning at SDN 39 Sejiram can increase students' tolerance attitudes towards diversity.This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, where data is collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study show that the application of multicultural education in the school curriculum, the strengthening of learning materials based on diversity values, and active social interaction between students with different backgrounds can contribute significantly in forming mutual respect, reducing negative prejudice, and preventing potential conflicts in the school environment.In addition, the involvement of teachers in teaching multicultural values through interactive and contextual learning methods has also been proven to play a role in building students' understanding of the importance of harmonious coexistence. Thus, multicultural education needs to continue to be developed and integrated more widely in the basic education system in order to create a generation that has an open, inclusive attitude, and is able to build a harmonious society in the midst of differences.
