Abstrak

This research explores how digital technology influences the teaching methods of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in madrasahs. Tools like the internet and educational apps have significantly improved students’ access to diverse learning resources, making lessons more dynamic and engaging. These technologies also support the development of students’ digital literacy. Nonetheless, issues arise when students primarily use technology for entertainment purposes—such as gaming or social media—which can reduce their motivation to learn and negatively affect their moral growth. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, this study examines both the advantages and drawbacks of digital technology in PAI education. The findings suggest that while digital tools offer many benefits, their usage must be supervised to avoid declines in learning effectiveness and ethical behavior. Teachers and parents have a vital responsibility to guide students in making responsible and constructive use of technology.
